Organization Settings
What it does
Organization Settings is where you manage your restaurant's profile — name, description, logo, contact details, and links to your website and social/review pages — along with the business basics that affect the whole system: currency, VAT (tax), and weekly opening hours. Only managers can make changes here; everyone else can view the information but not edit it.
Getting started
- Open Organization Settings from the settings menu.
- In the Profile section, review your restaurant's name, description, address, country, contact phone numbers, email, and website. You can add links to TripAdvisor, Google, Instagram, and Facebook here too.
- Tap the edit action to open the profile editor. Update text fields, upload or replace your logo by dragging an image in or browsing for one, and adjust brand colors if your venue uses them.
- To manage phone numbers, add as many as you need — each one has a phone number (formatted automatically for your country) and an optional label, such as "Reception" or "Delivery line." Remove any entry you no longer need.
- Save your changes to update the profile everywhere it's shown, including your public menu page.
- In the Currency section, open the currency picker and select the currency your prices and receipts should use.
- In the VAT section, turn tax on or off for the whole venue, and choose whether your prices already include VAT or VAT should be added on top at checkout.
- In the Working Hours section, tap "Edit" to switch each day open or closed and set opening/closing times. Tap "Done" to save.
Key things to know
- Only managers can edit organization settings; other staff see a read-only view.
- You can list any number of phone numbers, each with its own label — there's no fixed limit, and you can leave the list empty if you prefer.
- Phone numbers are formatted automatically to match your country's dialing format as you type.
- Your logo can be a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 5 MB. Drag and drop a new one onto the logo area, or remove it entirely to fall back to a placeholder.
- Social and review links (TripAdvisor, Google, Instagram, Facebook) and your website link are optional — if you leave them blank, they simply won't appear on your public menu page.
- The website, phone numbers, and social links you set here also show up automatically on your public online menu, in an info popup customers can open.
- Turning VAT off removes tax from the whole system — no tax line appears anywhere, including on receipts.
- The "VAT Included in Price" choice only matters while VAT is turned on: when it's on, the prices you enter already include tax; when it's off, tax is calculated and added on top at checkout.
- In Poland, an extra setting lets you configure the maximum receipt amount that can be converted into a simplified invoice using a customer's tax ID — this follows the legal limit set by Polish VAT law, but is adjustable in case the limit changes.
- Working hours are set per day of the week, with a simple open/closed switch and a from/to time for each open day — there's no support yet for multiple shifts within a single day (e.g. lunch and dinner hours separately).
- Changing your currency doesn't convert existing prices — it only changes which currency symbol and code are used going forward.
FAQ
Q: Who can change organization settings?
A: Only staff with manager-level access to organization settings. Everyone else can view the profile, hours, and other details, but the edit options won't be available to them.
Q: How many phone numbers can I add?
A: As many as you like. Each one can have a short label so your team knows what it's for, like "Takeaway" or "Catering."
Q: I changed my logo but customers still see the old one.
A: Give it a moment to refresh — logos are cached by the browser. If it still doesn't update after a page reload, double-check the upload was saved successfully (look for an error message near the logo area).
Q: Do the social media links I add here show up on my public menu page?
A: Yes. Your website, phone numbers, and any social/review links you fill in appear in an info popup that customers can open from your public menu.
Q: What happens if I turn VAT off completely?
A: No tax is calculated or shown anywhere in the app — orders, receipts, and reports will not include a tax line until you turn it back on.
Q: What's the difference between VAT included and VAT added on top?
A: If VAT is included, the price you set is the final price the customer pays — tax is already baked in. If VAT is added on top, the price you set is before tax, and tax is calculated and added when the order is checked out.
Q: Can I set different opening hours for lunch and dinner on the same day?
A: Not currently — each day has a single open/closed status with one opening and one closing time.
Q: If I change my currency, does it convert my existing menu prices?
A: No. Changing the currency only changes the symbol and code shown; it does not recalculate or convert any prices. You'll need to update prices yourself if you're switching to a different currency's scale.
