TMS (Tables) Report
What it does
The TMS report (Reports → TMS) covers table management and reservations — how bookings turn out, when you're busiest, how well your tables are used, your cancellation rate, and a service pipeline you can drill into to see where time goes. It's for the date range you choose. See Reports Overview for the shared date range, granularity, Apply, and PDF export controls.
Tabs and parameters
- Reservations — Reservations Over Time. Bookings across the range, broken down by outcome (completed, not arrived, cancelled). Parameters: date range + granularity (Hourly / Daily / By Weekday / Monthly).
- Peak Hours — Peak Hours Heatmap. When your demand concentrates, as a day-and-hour heatmap. Parameters: date range.
- Table Utilization — how well each table is used (utilization %), by floor and table. Parameters: date range.
- Cancellations — Cancellation Rate. The share of bookings cancelled, tracked over time. Parameters: date range + granularity.
- Performance — Service Pipeline. The average time an order spends in each stage of service, with a four-level drill-down (see below). Parameters: date range, then interactive drill-down.
The Performance (Service Pipeline) drill-down
The Performance tab breaks service into stages — Waiting, Queue, Cooking, Delivery Wait, Table Release — and lets you dig into any of them:
- Stages — one bar per stage showing average duration. Tap a stage to go deeper.
- By performer / by table — for that stage, switch between a breakdown by staff member and by table.
- Orders — the individual orders behind a chosen performer or table.
- Order items — tap an order to see its items with the minutes each took (plus prep time for the Cooking stage).
A Back button appears above the chart at each level to step back up one at a time.
Key things to know
- The Reservations and Cancellations views depend on you using the reservations feature; Table Utilization and the Service Pipeline reflect how orders move through your tables and kitchen.
- The Performance drill-down is where you answer "why is service slow" — you can trace a slow stage down to the exact staff member or table, then to the specific orders and items.
- PDF export lets you include any of the Reservations, Peak Hours, Table Utilization, Cancellations, and Performance sections.
FAQ
Q: What do the stages in the Service Pipeline mean?
A: They're the steps an order passes through — Waiting, Queue, Cooking, Delivery Wait, and Table Release. Each bar is the average time spent in that step across the range.
Q: Can I see which table or which person is causing a slow stage?
A: Yes. Tap a stage, then switch to the by table or by performer view, tap a bar to see the orders behind it, and tap an order to see its items and per-item minutes.
Q: How do I read Table Utilization?
A: It's the percentage of available time each table was actually in use over the range, listed by floor and table — low numbers point to tables you could seat more often.
Q: I drilled several levels into Performance — how do I get back?
A: Use the Back button above the chart; it steps you up one level at a time to the stage overview.
