Restaurant POS System for Any Device

Take orders, register payments and print fiscal receipts from a tablet, phone or laptop you already own — with the kitchen display, QR menu and reservations connected to the same till.

Your register is wherever you are

  • ✓ Full fiscal integration with all required steps supported out of the box
  • ✓ Seamless connection with fiscal printers for compliant receipt printing
  • ✓ No dedicated POS hardware needed — just a printer and a card terminal
  • ✓ Access your virtual register from any device, anywhere in the restaurant

POSolid replaces traditional POS terminals with a fully virtual register that runs on any browser. Your staff can take orders, process payments, and print fiscal receipts from a tablet, phone, or laptop — no proprietary hardware required.

The built-in fiscal integration handles the complete receipt lifecycle — opening, payment registration, printing, and storno — connecting directly to your fiscal printer over the local network. Every transaction is compliant, and your register travels with your staff across the floor.

POSolid is a web application — it opens in a browser tab like any website, on any device you already have. A €50 Android tablet works the same as a €2000 dedicated POS terminal. An old laptop mounted at the bar works as a KDS station. Your own phone works as a backup POS when the queue builds up. There is no minimum hardware spec, no required operating system, and no mandatory upgrade cycle.

Every device sees the same data in real time. An order placed on the waiter's phone appears on the kitchen screen in the same second. A table marked as reserved on the host tablet shows as unavailable on every other device instantly. You are not paying for hardware — you are paying for software, and the 14-day trial opens every module before you pick a plan.

Phone, Tablet, Laptop, Old PC — All Work Equally Well

Any Printer Works — Thermal, Inkjet, or Laser

  • ✓ Thermal printers (WiFi, Bluetooth, USB) for instant receipts and kitchen tickets
  • ✓ Regular inkjet or laser printer — or even print to PDF
  • ✓ Print discount vouchers with custom codes for your guests

POSolid supports standard ESC/POS thermal printers — the same inexpensive hardware used by most businesses worldwide. Connect over WiFi or Bluetooth, and receipts, kitchen order tickets, and KDS prints go straight to the printer the moment they are triggered. No drivers to install on the server, no proprietary print software, no subscription fee for printing.

If you do not have a thermal printer, a regular inkjet or laser printer works too — receipts print as formatted pages, and you can save to PDF for digital delivery. You can also print discount vouchers with unique codes to hand to guests — a simple way to drive repeat visits without a loyalty app.

Simple thermal printer and a tablet you already own. That is your entire POS hardware budget.

Most POS systems handle one thing and leave you to stitch together the rest. POSolid is different: order entry, kitchen display, QR menu, table reservations, queue board, staff access control, and analytics all ship as part of the same platform, connected out of the box. When a waiter takes an order, the kitchen sees it instantly. When a reservation arrives, the floor plan updates. When a guest scans the QR code, they see live menu availability.

Everything shares the same data. Menu changes made in the catalog appear on the QR menu and the POS simultaneously. Availability toggled off on one device is off everywhere within seconds. You set something up once — it works everywhere, for everyone on your team, without integrations or workarounds.

Every Part of Your Business, Finally in Sync

  • ✓ One platform for orders, kitchen, floor, guests, and staff
  • ✓ Real-time data flows between every module automatically
  • ✓ Works on any device — tablet, phone, desktop — no special hardware

QR Menu & Reservations — Built In, Not Bolted On

Most POS vendors charge separately for a digital menu or a reservation system — then you pay again for the integration. POSolid ships both as native modules, connected at the data layer. The QR menu reads directly from your catalog: prices, availability, descriptions, allergens, modifiers — all live, all accurate, always.

Reservations plug directly into your floor plan. When a booking is confirmed, the table is held. When the party arrives, one tap seats them and opens their order — no double-entry, no lost bookings, no guests standing at the door while staff checks a paper list. The whole guest journey, from booking to bill, flows through one system.

Other systems give you a POS and sell you the rest. POSolid builds the whole venue into one platform — one subscription, not a bill per feature.

When a waiter submits an order, it does not print a paper ticket — it appears on every relevant kitchen screen in real time. Grill station sees the mains. Cold section sees the starters and salads. Bar sees the drinks. Each station works its own queue without stepping on the others, and the prep time timer starts the moment the order lands.

When a dish is marked ready on the KDS, the change propagates across the system: the waiter's screen updates, the queue board (if running) displays the order as ready for guest pickup, and the order timing data is logged for management reporting. Nothing slips through, nothing is re-called, no verbal shouting across the pass.

KDS at Every Layer — From Order to Pass

  • ✓ Orders appear on kitchen screens the instant they are placed
  • ✓ Multiple KDS stations — grill, cold, bar — each see their own items
  • ✓ Ready status flows back to the waiter and updates the queue board for guests

Questions About the POS.

What is a virtual register?

A cash register that runs in a browser instead of on a dedicated terminal. Staff take orders, register payments and print fiscal receipts from a tablet, phone or laptop, so the register travels with them across the floor instead of sitting at one till point.

What devices does POSolid run on?

Any device with a modern browser — Chrome, Safari or Firefox on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS or Linux. An inexpensive Android tablet does the same job as a dedicated terminal, with no app to install and no minimum specification to meet.

What hardware do I need to start?

A device you already own with a browser, and a printer. A card terminal too, if you take cards. There is no proprietary POS terminal to buy and no minimum specification to meet.

Does POSolid print fiscal receipts?

Yes. The built-in fiscal integration covers the whole receipt lifecycle — opening, payment registration, printing and storno — talking to your fiscal printer over the local network, without separate fiscal middleware.

Which printers work?

Standard ESC/POS thermal printers over WiFi, Bluetooth or USB — the same inexpensive hardware most venues already use. A regular inkjet or laser printer works too, and you can print to PDF instead.

Can several devices run at the same time?

Yes — POS on a tablet, KDS on a wall screen, the queue board on a TV and a manager on a phone, all at once on the same live data. Swapping device mid-shift loses nothing, because the data lives on the server.

What happens to my data if a device dies mid-shift?

Nothing is lost. Orders, menus, staff records and reports live on POSolid servers rather than on the device, so you pick up another tablet, log in, and carry on where you left off.

Which modules are included?

Menu management, kitchen display, QR menu, table reservations, the order-ready board, staff management with roles and shift tracking, inventory and reporting. They are native modules on one database, not integrations you have to connect.

Do the modules actually talk to each other?

They share the same data. A waiter's order reaches the kitchen screen in the same second, a confirmed reservation holds the table on the floor plan, and an item marked unavailable disappears from the QR menu everywhere at once. You set something up once and it applies everywhere.
